Newday 2014

Today’s blog post is about the christian camp that I attended last week! For any of you who doesn’t know what newday is, it’s a christian camp held in Norfolk that over 7000 people attend each year from all over the globe!

This year many amazing speakers came from all over (Andrew Wilson, Eric Metaxas, Adrian Holloway, Joel Virgo, Stef Liston…. To name a few) came and talk to us about many things via main meetings and seminars! Many quotes were made during these and my good friend abi made some pictures to go with this! (If your reading abi hope you don’t mind!) such as “ANDREW WILSON IS GOING TO THE TOILET!”

“You live, you die, you sing Matt Redman songs for ever, then you go to heaven!”

“Me and bob the tomato gave up smoking together!”

Also the worship team was absolutely amazing! Here’s some photos below!

I cannot wait until the CD comes! A highlight from one of the nights of worship was when matt redman came and joined the team and got his own song wrong! Also there is a certain guitarist that everyone needs to keep away from synth! Haha!

1st of August was important for me im particular as I was blessed with a new sense of peace which resulted me to sit and cry without knowing it! I was also given the verse Isaiah 43 which has really helped me to see out of the darkness in which I was in!

During that week me and my friend planned a concert!

Have seen lost Adrian holloway and lost worship team members!

Have seen worship members nearly falling over at least twice!

I’ve gained a uncle and a nephew and my friend has gained a cousin!

Met an awesome and epic steward called Michael! Who we took a selfie with!

Met a guy who we spoke to for quite a bit and then he photo bombed our selfie!

Pegged many people!

Killed many trees with notes! (Mainly andrew wilsons seminars and meetings!

49 pages!!

Went on outreach and met random strangers!

Got DJ names and theme tunes! Featuring deejay charlay, dr abimundo and roostie!

Sang eminem and rapped Shakespeare!

Had deep conversations at the dead of night!

Had the best week of my life by far! Made new friends! Got an ambition to take up guitar! Watched 270 people get healed! Watched hundreds of people give there lives to Christ!

The last day of year 10! 18/7/14

This day was strange as we watched a French film, had a mass and then went home at 1pm. However me, Sarah and Bridget didn’t go home.(well Bridget did as we went to her house!) We decide that we would start to plan out our tea party that we are doing on the 6th of August! It is a charity tea party and it is for This Star Won’t Go Out! (For fellow nerdfighters you will know that this is Esther Earls charity!) as we were planning many things came up such as funny music varying from Bastille to hank green! It was awesome! Then a postman walked through Bridget’s back garden to put a letter in the back door which is apparently normal but me and Sarah found it strange! Then Sarah decided that she would sunbathe and Bridget was making stars. So I took the roll of DJ Charlotte and photographer!

A parcel from Lori Earl also arrived and we got so excited! (See photo below!)

Immediately afterwards me and Bridget bought one of the bracelets each and they now have a place on our wrists!

Another awesome thing about this parcel is the fact that Lori Earl is really inspiration just by a few sentences and now it all seems so real to me!

Esther Earl is such an inspiration and has really helped me this past three weeks especially and has allowed me to appreciate life and family more. She has made me realise that my, my friends and my families lives are awesome, and that not everyone’s lives are awesome and it is those people that need our help to make them awesome! That is why I am holding this tea party with my best friend Bridget as it means a lot to both of us!

Alton Towers 17/7/14

This was the day where the whole of year 10 in my school went on a school trip to Alton towers. The photo above shows me and Bridget on a ride called Charlie and the chocolate factory (and no we weren’t the oldest people on it!).

The day started off with me and my friends going on one of the older rides call the run away train! It was great until we emerged in smoke (it was part of the ride!) everyone found this as a normal and fun experience apart from me and Bridget. As we were aware that smoke (having read many books-the hunger games) means something bad is going to happen! Anyway we were fine and then we all went onto the water rapids! They were so fun! Apart from the fact that I was the person who got shot by water guns twice which then left me rather soaking to say the least!

After this me, Sarah, Bridget and Lauren waited for one hour and a half to go on the famous ride if air! It was well worth the wait as it felt like you were flying! After getting off it leaves you feeling amazing and like nothing can ever touch or take the moment away from you! ( for you divergent fans out there, I felt very dauntless after this ride!).

Then we found our selfs in cloud cuckoo land and decide that it was time to watch ice age in 4d which was an experience that I would love to have again! Then being three normal teenagers me, Olivia and Bridget went on a merry go round!

Ending the day on a high we then went to the aquarium that was there an I took many pictures of the fishes food as quite frankly it is funny! Broccoli!

The end of sports day forever..

I would like to start by saying that the photo above is one of many I took today, it features my good friends Bethany (left), Bridget (right), she who wants to remain nameless (middle) and in the backround is the queen if England his self!

Anyway the day consisted of rain, rain and abit more rain, but what do you expect I LIVE IN THE UNITED KINGDOM!! Unfortunately however we were dressed up in enthusiastic sports clothes! There was a bit if the usual drama of ‘where’s the form tutor?’ (If your confused with this context please see my older blogs) and avoiding events that we were supposed to attend.

I had many conversations with many people today including the usuals Bridget, Ailis and Sarah.But also some of my other friends that’s I haven’t mentioned on here before such as Bethany and Natasha.

After a while me and Bridget gave up and decided to do laps (ovals) of the field then Hank Green came and sang a song to us via YouTube just to cheer us up! Then we bumped into Ailis and she insisted on me taking photos.. Then this happened!

(Ailis if you are reading please don’t kill me for this photo but it’s funny as it looks like one leg is smaller than the other!)

We then came to the final part of sports day where we waited to get the results for what would either make or break sports day for some people. At this point it was pouring down so me, Sarah and Bridget took refuge under the queen of England’s umbrella.

After this I decided that I should probably go home now and then found myself in my grandparents car (not by accident! Don’t worry I was ment to be there!!) and we drove back to there house in which I am at now!

I was given a book that I ordered called ‘This star won’t go out’ by Ester Earl and she is truly an inspirational person!

Now I am about to go to bed but before writing this post I checked facebook and found out that Noodle my friends chicken has moved on to a better place.

The week before our stars! (12/6/14)

Last Thursday I attended a fan screening of the fault in our stars with my friends Bridget and Ailís! This was an amazing experience and is by at one of my all time favourite films!! This is the only film where I have thought that it was as good as the book and it was extremely accurate. While I was reading the book there were several sections where I couldn’t continue as I was drowning in my tears, and I think that the film captured this perfectly! I was crying for over half of the film as it was beautiful and excellent! The director and the cast have captured it beautifully and I hope to see this film again very soon.

The music element of this film was magnificent too as it featured songs by birdy, ed sheeran, charli xcx and even sweedish hip hop! My favourite song being Not about angels by Birdy! This was played at such a crucial and sad part if the film and I haven’t listened to it since as I am afraid of bursting into tears.

We also were given lanyards with a fan screening pass and a poster. The poster is still rolled up in the corner of my room but it is soon to go up!

Overall it was my favourite film and story by far! Please please please go and see it and read it if you haven’t all ready!! Also I am requesting one thing from readers, is there any book suggestions that you could recommend to me in the comments that you think I would like?

The end of a very long week!

 

Today as many people are aware is Friday! Today I walked into town with my fabulous friend Ailís! In the picture above she is reading a book which apparently describes me but I believe that the face that she is pulling describes her the best! 

We were talking about many things as usual then we wasted time in whsmiths. I then casual fell up the stairs and ripped the front of my coat. Not good considering that I only have one summer coat…. Anyway after this we saw this busker who was drawing an amazing picture of the eastgate clock . The picture below shows this as Ailís took a picture of it and put it on instagram. I stole it as the world needs to see it!! 

Next week I will be going to The Week before our Stars event with my friend Bridget and there we will experience what many Americans experienced last night! (A viewing of the fault in our stars, then an interview!) and I’m so excited!!! I can’t wait literally!!

The Prismatic World Tour (Katy Perry!! 24/5/14)

 

This time last week it was all over. It was one of the best nights of my life by far! It was so amazing and theatrical! My favourite songs being all of them but imparticular E.T., I kissed a girl,unconditionally, by the grace of god and firework! They were absolutely magnificent!

we arrived at around 6pm and waited around for abit until we were seated on our seats. Then me and my AMAZING Friend Bridget went and bought ourselves some merchandise ( a tour t shirt and a wristband!). Then after a 20 ish minute wait icona pop came on at 8pm. They were pretty good but were nothing compared to katy! At 8:30pm there was a half an hour interval until Katy came on. She came on which Roar which was amazing!! The concert was great and seemed to go really fast! Please look on YouTube if you want to see what I mean! And I hope that you all enjoyed this!! 

We got back at around midnight but me and Bridget  didn’t sleep until around 3am… The best conversations always happen in the early hours of the morning! On Sunday I attended mass with Bridget’s family and then went to my own church and nearly slept the whole after noon! I was exhausted!! Anyway I hope you all enjoyed!!

Happy days!

So I had a great day today and I don’t really know why! May be it’s because it’s sunny, maybe it’s not! I shall never know!

School was neither hard or boring today it was quite strange really! Ranging from conversations about bread-to a game that I play nearly every day called ‘where’s the form tutor?’ It’s kind if like ‘where’s wally?’ But the fact is you will never find the form tutor as they are none existent!

Anyway after all this strangeness in school, I had my everyday walk to town with my good friend Ailís! (If your reading you should be proud! I remembered the í thing! Not sure if it’s right though! Apologies in advance!) We went to boots to print pictures with was mildly amusing, the went to Starbucks! It happened to be happy hour on frappuccinos, which ment half price drinks! Yay! 😃 while this was all going on Ailís decided that she wanted an image after her name on my contacts, only she would choose to be Ailís 💩!! I will never know! Anyway this is enough for today!

Katy perry! (Unconditionally!)

Well it’s now only 11 days until I go and see the FABULOUS Katy Perry! Me and my friend Bridget are going to see her and witness her extravagant prismatic world tour! I cannot wait!! It’s crazy!

First of all I’m really looking forward to one part in particular and that is the acoustics part! In that part she will be singing two of my favourite songs- unconditionally and by the grace of god! These are Both brilliant songs and if you haven’t heard them please listen to them now!

The events of a wet and windy day!

Today felt like a very long day in terms of lesson, but it was good! After school I went into town to buy some lip balm! Which is great! ( I love the Crabtree and Evelyn honey one!) After this I decided to go and buy a sample of perfume from penhaligons and to my surprise she have me two for free! Which is very exciting as I really love tra la la and I’ve always wanted to try vaara so it’s very exciting! After having a conversation with the penhaligons lady (which I get along well with) I decide to head up to my brothers school just then it starts pouring down with rain!! And where I was there was no shelter! So I casually speed walk in he direction of my brothers school and it gets heavier and heavier! Then just to make it better it starts hailing! Then a couple of minutes later on top of all this comes thunder and lightening! I was soaked and cold! It was terrible, a similar thing happened last week which I’m not very happy about! ( I think it’s time to invest in a new umbrella! 😃 )

Anyway after writing this post I am to continue revising for a history mock test on Wednesday (oh the joys!) if anyone has ever taken gcse history they know how hard it is to learn everything for one unit of work! I am thankful however that I do not have to do my exam until next year!
